Adam Stone - Philip Bliss
After studying Music at Middlesex Uni and Acting at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, Adam began a 15 year run as a professional actor, singer, musician and worship leader. Highlights included 2 years with Riding Lights (National Tour of A Winter's Tale), Saltmine Theatre Company (Screwtape Letters, The Hiding Place) and Freedom Theatre Company. Other theatre credits include Bob Cratchit in A Christmas Carol (London), Buddy Holly and the Cricketers (European Tour), Nigel in Salad Days (Bristol Old Vic), John Doyle's Peter Pan (Oxford Playhouse), Jesus in Godspell (UK Tour). Film credits include George Muller in Robber of the Cruel Streets (CTA), Brian Russ in The Brian Russ Story (CTA) and 'Preacher' in Spurgeon; the People's Preacher (CTA) as well as cameos in Band of Brothers, Remains of the Day and Skyfall.
He also ran his own theatre company for young adults aspiring to enter the profession, receiving 5-star reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe.
Following a tour on the Seabourn Sojourn as a 'Seabourn Singer', Adam met and married Cathrin and the two studied for 3 years at Charis Bible College in Colorado. Adam went on to develop and run a new third year School of Creative Arts at Charis where they stayed for 6 years during which their two boys, Sky and Finn were born. Adam wrote and directed The Heart of Christmas, a musical for all ages (available on DVD) and a beautiful coffee table picture-book with fully orchestrated audiobook, narrated by Adam himself, entitled The Servant King.
Adam and family now live in Devon where they make kids YouTube videos for the channel 'Sky and Finn' designed to bring godly principles and courageous adventures for young children (available on several kids streaming platforms).
Adam is thrilled and honoured to be working on It Is Well playing Philip Bliss.
Katrina Markham - Lucy Bliss
Katrina is a 2021 Graduate from Italia Conti Academy. At Italia Conti, she played Connie in Made In Dagenham and Kathy in 9 TO 5.
Katrina’s credits include: Claudia in Centurion (Artless Theatre Company); Martha Cratchit in A Christmas Carol (West End Has Faith & All Souls); Vocalist in West End Has Faith’s Concert Tour; Sleeping Beauty,
Carabosse, Queen Shiela in Sleeping Beauty (West Midlands Children’s Theatre) and Ratty, Chief Wiesel, and other characters in Wind in the Willows (Image Musical Theatre).

Matt Sunners - George Root
Matt trained at the University of Central Lancashire (BA Hons Acting). Previous theatre credits include: Christian in ‘The Pilgrim's Progress’, Subject in ‘The screwtape letters’, and Israel in ‘The Cross & the switchblade’ (all with Saltmine Theatre Company).
He has also previously worked with the Lacey Theatre Company as well as Splendid Productions on their national tour of Antigone.
Matt is married to Bethan and they have 3 children: Hallie, Edward & Jake. They live in Dunstable where Matt works as a pilot for EasyJet.
Richard Mellion - DL Moody
Richard graduated from Italia Conti (BA Hons Acting) in 2016. Credits whilst training include: Ronald in Port, Sheriff Pokorny in Vernon god little, George Frederic Handel in Coram Boy and Dromio in Comedy of Errors (Wanamaker Festival at the Globe).
Previous Theatre credits include Mr. Bumble in Oliver (Ed Fringe), Governor Slaton in Parade, Mr. Sheinkopf in Fame, Fredrick Egerman in A Little Night Music, Peter in Theophilus and most recently John in a touring production of Fisherman’s Tail.
Richard is delighted to be originating the role of D.L Moody in this wonderful production.
Gareth Hides - Walter Guest
With Saltmine Theatre Company: The Cross and the Switchblade (UK tour and Edinburgh Fringe), From Eden to Eternity, Three Wise Men and a Baby, The Hope Play and ESCape (TIE). Other credits include: West End to Broadway and Swing Through Time (Copthorne Hotel, Cardiff); Dick Whittington (The Panto Company); and Christmas at the Movies (All Souls Music). Short films: Journey into Hope (ECM) and Born Identity (Keswick Convention).
Gareth is also a Gospel singer-songwriter, releasing two albums and four EPs. You can stream his music on all major platforms.
Joy-Anna Gooch - Clara Young, Anna Spafford
Joy-Anna was born and raised in London. After training for 10 years in classical ballet at Danceworks, she graduated from the Junior Course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she performed in works by Chekhov, Lorca, Tolstoy, and Shakespeare. Joy-Anna is currently a Production Associate with London theatre and TV director, Hugh Wooldridge, where she has recently filmed a PG Wodehouse project, and edited two showreels; one with Sir Trevor Nunn talking about Shakespeare, the other celebrating 25 years of 'The Night of 1000 Voices' at the Royal Albert Hall. As an actress, Joy-Anna may be spotted as a supporting artiste in 'The Crown' as Kate M's Friend and with an immersive Murder Mystery Company in events across London. Last month she sang with West End Has Faith and the All Souls Orchestra in their concert, 'Christmas at the Movies.'
Thanks to her French mum, Joy-Anna is bilingual and a great cook. She loves to spend time with her brother Ezra, and, after its recent tour around the UK, she is really pleased to be bringing 'It is Well with My Soul' to the Other Palace Studio.
Arjan Binnema - Ira Sankey
Arjan was born in the Netherlands and moved to the UK 5 years ago. He studied at music college, specialising in piano and songwriting. Alongside this, he’s performed as Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Cheltenham Playhouse). Arjan works as a worship pastor at a church in Witney and studies theology at University. He enjoys using all these things to bring glory to God.
Henry Leigh Hunt - Horatio Spafford
Henry trained at Drama Studio London and with the National Youth Theatre after studying Drama at the University of Birmingham. He most recently appeared in Philip Breen's adaptation of Anna Karenina, directed by Emma Lucia Hands. Other credits include: Two Gentlemen of Verona and Twelfth Night, both directed by Royal Shakespeare Company Senior Voice and Text Coach, Michael Corbidge. Whilst working for his local church, he has performed in gospel dramas under the direction of UCCF.
Sarah Hides - BSL Interpreter
Sarah has been a BSL Interpreter for over 20 years. Her musical theatre credits include: Cats (West End and UK tour); Legally Blonde, Shrek the Musical, Chicago, the Sound of Music, Flashdance the Musical, and Cabaret (all UK tours). Other theatre includes: Goodnight Mister Tom and Birds of a Feather (both UK tours). Other credits include: Strictly Come Dancing: The Live Tour, Disney on Ice (both UK tours); George Ezra, Ellie Goulding (both 02 Arena); the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and the King's Coronation Concert.
